I Live Where Now?!?!?!

If you were born in Atlanta or your family has lived here for a while you must have heard of Simpson road. Well guess what- they changed the name of it, yes you heard me right they changed the name of Simpson rd. and Simpson st. As I was leaving the Atlanta Falcons game to day (we won) I noticed that Simpson rd. was changed to Martin Luther King rd. and Simpson st. was changed to Ivan Allen rd. So I bet you all were wondering why in the world would they change the name of a street well I have the answer and its because they want to change the people on it. But my opinion is that if we want to change the people who live on the street we must not change the name but put a stronger police presence on the street. Changing the name of a street will not change anything but the confusion of the people. So city of Atlanta and cities of the world stop trying to change the people on the street by chaning the name of it but just start changing the police presence of the street. Because you see nothing change when you changed Stewart st. to Metropolitan. So for my closing I want to know your take on the on the naming of streets so "rude" people on the street can move off.

  1. Hmmm, Ur right! My mom lived in that area when she was little the vine city atlanta metroplotan area....and she remembered how bad simpson road used to be with the prostitutes, drug dealers, child molestors etc. and it just wasnt an area anybody wanted to be in but i guess since everyone wants to live intown now and white people finally realize how much that land is worth they are trying to price us out and get us out of the neighborhoods because its so close, all due to revitilization of the city, i guess its important to realize our history in atlanta, p.s they changed cleveland avenue also
