Prop 8-Prop Hate

The biggest news of today was not Barack Obama's birthday, or the President of Iran's assassination attempt but the overturn of the ban on Prop 8 which restricted Gay people in California to be married. Right now I sit in a tizzy because i truly don't know where I should stand on this issue. I have always said that a gay partner should have the right to see the other in the hospital when they are dying. And I have always supported legislation that list gay discrimination as a hate crime. But my biblical up bringing tells me that marriage is strictly between a man and a woman. The bible also mentions that a whole town was destroyed because there were some gay men in the town. But that was the old testament and the new one says "to do unto others, as you would want to be done unto you" (I'm paraphrasing) so does that mean to give gay people the right to marry just like I can marry a women? Also gay people don't go to the polls and vote not to let straight people marry but straight people go to the polls and discriminate and vote not to let gay couples marry. But I do think i have one position on this issue. The judge who ruled the case said that the ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional, now that is true! Because in the 14th amendment it says that everyone should have the same liberty as others. So that does mean that gay marriage is legal by the Constitution. But by the Bible's standards its not "moral". But do remember one thing GOD IS A GOD OF LOVE. So if two men or two women love each other, then let it BE.

Igualdad, justicia y servicio.

If you don't know by know I'm a democrat. I believe in what we(the democratic party) stands for Equality, Justice, and Serving the people of America(this was not taken from the democratic part's website). I'm going to explain the three things we believe in today. First Equality we believe that Gay AMERICANS should have the same right as regular people to visit each other in the hospital when one of their partners are dying. We also believe that all men are created equal(taken from the constitution) because a rich man should not get a higher tax cut than a poor man. I don't even know if that terminology makes sense but republicans do. We also believe that just because a man is richer than other people that he should be treated different. We believe that justice should be served when a law allows racial profiling and discriminatory acts. We served justice to black people with the civil rights act and we are serving Justice for Latinos by boycotting the state of Arizona. We believe in justice when a teenager is shot and killed in Chicago just because a gun was placed in the wrong hands. That's why we want to perfect the 2nd amendment by changing it so a college students does not kill 23 people. Last but not least we stand for serving others by giving health care to those who can afford it or have been denied because of a pre-existing condition. We believe in serving others by following Jesus' true commandment by serving the least of those by helping elderly with medicare and helping the poor with welfare. We are the Democratic Party and we are going to win in 2010! :)

Sarah Palin is Racist?

I just wanted to grab your attention with that name. But seriously is Sarah Palin racist for supporting Arizona's new law against Illegal Immigration? I'm sure we all have heard about Arizona's new law but if you have not here is what it is about. This law allows police and local law enforcement to pull over someone and put them in jail if they do not have documents to show they are a American Citizen. So this law is RACIAL PROFILING. I also wish that we would stop dancing around the bush and just say it! Because its just like what they did to black people since we were given freedom. Its like giving white people 3 marbles to guess so they can vote but giving black people 123 marbles so they can vote, just because the color of their SKIN. Let me give you a scenario of how you could be affected by this law. Okay, so say you are in Arizona on vacation and its a Friday evening you left your passport and wallet at the hotel and you want to walk the street. But suddenly the police pull you over and ask for documents but then remembering you forgot your wallet at the hotel you tell the officer and they do not believe it. So you are taken to jail and cannot get a judge till Monday and your hotel room is cleaned out wallet and all. So now what will you do? So I ask every single one of you reading this blog to PLEASE CANCEL ANY HOTEL, FLIGHTS, AND VACATIONS PLANNED FOR ARIZONA. Even if you have a flight that is stoped in Arizona to go somewhere else, CANCEL IT. Lets boycott the state of Arizona and show them they are wrong.

YES WE CAN have healthcare.

Yesterday at around 11 pm the most recent major legislation passed in the house. This was a bill hat would give health care to everybody. No, there is no public/government option but it does require that over 80% of Americans have health insurance. Each part of the bill goes into effect every 6 months to a year. The whole bill will be into full effect January 1, 2014. So let me break down the major parts of the bill. First, all Children/dependents can/will get to stay on their parents health insurance until they are 26 years old. So that means when you are a college student and you get sick your parents coverage will cover you. Second, a insurance company cannot deny you coverage if you have a pre-existing condition like breast cancer or HIV(they would deny you because the treatment would cost a lot of money). Third, a insurance company cannot cancel your coverage because you find out you have a disease/illness like cancer or HIV. Fourth, it requires over 80% of Americans to have health insurance so that you can afford treatment when you become sick.

Who is to BLAME.

The death of Nicholas Sheffey was a great tragedy to my school's community. I knew the brother of Nick and i have been explained the WHOLE situation of why Nick has died. But I'm not going to get into that, i am more interested in how we can stop things like these from happening. First and foremost Nick Sheffey was killed by a GUN. So guess what GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE and since we can get rid of people we get rid of the gun. The gun is protected under the 2nd amendment and i want to get rid of that thing. we need to claim a war against guns. So you ask how can we claim "war" against a object that helps you win a war? Its easy the answer is to start a peaceful one, First we start holding peace vigils and prayer vigils for people to start changing their hearts and to turn in their guns. Then we start sending emails and letters to the president and congressman to change the 2nd amendment to put away guns ( our president Barack Obama was a senator for Chicago in which 2007 20 Teenagers died in one summer from a gun). Then we start going to the ghettos and start offering helps for gangsters and thugs and criminals to turn their guns in and through it all we will have God leading us and helping us.

P.S. I don't think one preacher will disagree saying Jesus approved guns.

Medal of Honor

I give the Medal of Honor to everyone who has acne. Yeah you heard right, not only do i give them the medal of honor but i also believe we are the BRAVEST people on earth. Everyday we get up and see ourselves in the mirror as we have acne on our face and we have to go out into the world and face People. I don't know if you know it or not but HUMANS/PEOPLE are the most judgist beings on earth. And they judge us and talk about us just because we have acne. But i would like to see them face the world with something you can not hide. To everyone who does not have acne please know that we CAN NOT do anything to get rid of our acne, and also we DO NOT want to here you SAY ANYTHING about our FACE. and Please DO NOT STARE at our FACE. Remember that we are still humans and we want to be treated that way. Last but not least don't be afraid of us, acne can not be passed from person to person(unless your parents have it).
